Although it was technically a few days after the real Mardi Gras, Fort Irwin celebrated on Saturday so that the soldiers that work so hard could be part of the celebration. The day began with a 5K that required every participant to wear a hat, followed by a parade made up of primarily unit "floats" and the day then finished with a kid centered festival. I had the lead on the event with a ton of help from the G3 for the parade, really they made sure that part went off without a hitch and my guys, Mike and Ed, made sure the rest was handled. Thanks guys.
Now that's cocky, but I like it.
Sanele, my Autocrafts manager. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
This guy had a backpack full of hats that he was sharing with the kids.
